If you could use a little motivation and some new ideas try the following:

1) Clear your schedule for the night, grab a notebook and head on over to your local book store or library. I prefer to go to my local Borders because they have a coffee shop and all the latest books from Seth Godin and my other favorite authors. Rifle through their books for an hour or two and take notes. Think about how you could implement what you are learning into your business(es).

2) Isolate yourself with your computer for a couple hours and read about future online marketing trends. Here’s a link I used recently: http://searchengineland.com/big-list-2009-marketing-predictions-16009. Again, take notes and try to think about ways to exploit these new services and communication mediums into your business

3) Write a speech or two for your team members. There are few things that motivate me more than motivating others. It’s nearly impossible to stir a group of your peers into a motivational frenzy and not motivate yourself in the process. This involves research, thought and an energetic delivery which are all good for the soul. For speech ideas jump on over to my personal blog at billparker.org.

4) Build on the ideas and motivational techniques of others. There are a lot of good blogs out there including this one. Here are a few other good ones:

http://sethgodin.typepad.com/ - Seth Godin

Whatever you do just remember to Read, Write and Dream Everyday!
