I’ve been a professional technology nerd since the early 90s specializing in web hosting. Originally a marketing student at The University of Michigan I changed majors and pursued an IT career but never lost my passion for sales. I’ve hosted, managed, designed, monitored and built hundreds of sites ranging in size from this small blog to others for a multi billion dollar financial institution.
The technology is nice but it’s simply a force amplifier, true power comes from teamwork. Understanding your business and working seamlessly with marketing and sales is the key to success and that’s the target of this blog. I aim to bridge that gap and get a little to technical for pure marketing folk and talk a little too much sales and marketing for the nerds in the group.
I currently run many websites largely based on open-source technologies such as Joomla, Mambo, Word Press, Drupal, Zen-Cart and PhpBB. My current pride and joy is XekoShop which is the largest online retailer of the hit Trading Card Game Xeko.
